Ecogreen Plus™ Photocatalytic cement paint FAQ’s
1.) What is Ecogreen Plus™
Ecogreen Plus™ is an innovative paint technology based on an active principles with Photocatalytic properties, Our products are able to break down organic and inorganic pollutants and preserve the aesthetic quality of the finished surfaces over time. Ecogreen Plus™, with its self-cleaning and de polluting properties, is the seal of quality for photoactive construction and painting projects.
2.) How does Ecogreen Plus™ work? What is photo catalysis?
Photocatalysis is a natural phenomenon in which a substance, the Photocatalytic principle, utilizes light to alter the speed of a chemical reaction. By taking advantage of the energy of light, the principle will accelerate the formation of strong oxidizing reagents which will result in the decomposition of organic and inorganic pollutants. These pollutants are responsible for gathering on various surfaces causing discoloration, as well as, many health and environmental related issues.
3.) What pollutants does the use of Ecogreen Plus™ reduce?
It is proven that our products will reduce pollutants associated with motor vehicle exhaust, heating exhaust, fuel combustion and other commercial and industrial processes. They include:
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Sulfur Oxides (Sox), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s), and Particulate Matter (PM), among others.
4.) Will the Ecogreen Plus™ ingredients be consumed or ever used up?
The main ingredients are catalysts that accelerate a natural oxidation process and are not consumed in the process. As long as the surface remains intact and UV light can trigger the process, the principle will remain indefinitely.
5.) Will Ecogreen Plus™ work in closed environments or indoors?
Photo catalysis does need the effect of ultra-violet (UV) light to accelerate the oxidation process; however, the use in internal structures is indeed possible. Ecogreen Plus™ can be used in indoor environments where artificial U.V. light of the correct wavelength is utilized.
